Congratulations to zParacha for winning the 5th International Blog Cup!
I would like to thank all participants of the 5th IBC. It was the first IBC competition that contained 64 instead of 32 blogs. This also caused some bugs, that were eliminated with your help.
Don’t forget to nominate your favourite blogs for the future competitions! You can also
start voting for the best blogs in the 6th IBC at http://iblogcup.com/blogCup6/main.php!

First round of the 5th International Blog Cup is over and there are 32 blogs in the 2nd round this month. There were no significant changes apart of the double number of blogs competing this month. The second round voting will be open for five days so there is still plenty of time to get some more votes and reach the third round.
Here are the blogs with the most votes in Round 1:
- Bloggin-Ads (22 votes)
- Kopi Dunia (21)
- Literary Jewels (21)
- Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Soda (17)
- KiwiPulse (17)
It can be seen that there was a lower number of votes this time, but due to higher level of security we are certain that those are the real votes.

Although we had a lot of troubles maintaining security of the voting process, we got a new winner of International Blog Cup. Congratulations to Blog Lirik Lagu who won the IBC competition this month.
You might already noticed that we introduced another security check before anyone can vote, by requesting to enter the code and protect the voting system from automated voting.
As it was already mentioned, in February we will have the first IBC with 64 instead of usual 32 participants. This means there will be a little bit less time for voting per round as we have to do an additional round of voting to get the winner.
I would also like to apologise to all people that were victims of automated voting. After the introduction of code checking system this problems should be gone now.

4th International Blog Cup is well under way, but we are already preparing everything for the 5th International Blog Cup. As you might have noticed, we have a large number of nominees this time. There will probably be 64 instead of 32 blog in the competition next month, so it should be very interesting.
Since we had an increased number of nominated blogs recently, only blogs showing a link to our site will be considered for entry to International Blog Cup!

We are only two full days into 4th International Blog Cup competition and it is starting to get very exciting already. We have some very tough pairings in the first round like CarloCab.com vs. DaneMorgan.com.
Here is a top 5 list by number of current votes (which does not mean much in a knock-out based competition, but anyway):
1. danemorgan.com (40 votes)
2. seomoz.org (39 votes)
3. carlocab.com (39 votes)
4. mattnutts.com (32 votes)
5. bestweekever.tv (29 votes)
A little bit surprisingly, bestweekever.tv is leading against the big johnchow.com who didn’t start the engine yet as it looks like
However, there is still enough time to turn the things around!

First of all I would like to congratulate this month’s winner “Music For All Of Us” for winning the 3rd International Blog Cup. We had a fairly low number of voters in this round, especially in the final rounds of the competition. The most interesting duel happened in the 2nd round between “Music For All Of Us” and “The Ben Spark” which attracted 280 votes all together.
As this is the last posting in this year I would like to thank you for your support in 2007 and wish you a healthy and successful 2008!

It has been almost a month since my last post. This month’s International Blog Cup went by somehow quietly. In the finals we have two music blogs that don’t seem to attract too many voters. But there is still a few hours left to cast your vote.
We crossed a magic line of 10 USD collected from ads since the beginning of this competition. I still think this is not enough for a prize fund so we will wait a little bit to collect some more money from advertising. If anyone would like to sponsor an International Blog Cup competition and has some prizes to offer, please let me know.
I already prepared the 4th International Blog Cup page that can be found at http://iblogcup.com/blogCup4/main.php.
And don’t forget to nominate your blogs for the future IBC competitions at http://iblogcup.com/nominations.html.

3rd IBC just started on 1st of December. According to number of votes in the first two days almost all participants took the competition very seriously in contrast to the 1st IBC. You can vote for your favourite blogs here.
Also the 2nd IBC was a big success with number of visitors increasing by 50% in comparison to the 1st IBC competition. The ads revenue was still very low so we cannot offer any prize money yet, but all the money from ads is being collected in the fund for prizes. If there is any marketing expert or a company who would like to help in collecting prize fund money for IBC competitions, please contact me.

Congratulations to Pointless Banter for winning the 2nd International Blog Cup!
It was won on the last day of voting when it all looked set for Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Soda’s win. We could also say the cup was won in the last few hours of the day (see bandwidth chart below). Kevin showed once again that he has a strong base of supporters from MySpace.com and as you can see, most of his voters started voting just five hours before the end of voting.

Congratulations to both finalists again and good luck to everybody competing in the 3rd International Blog Cup that will start on 1st of December!

We arrived to the Final of the 2nd International Blog Cup with only two blogs remaining. Ades Blog, a big favourite (at least for myself) until the Semi-Finals, was outvoted by Pointless Banter who enjoyed constant support from myspace.com based fans. This way we have two “icanhascheezburger” type of blogs in the Final.
You can expect some minor changes in December edition of IBC as we will be changing the voting page and voting dates structure a little bit in the coming days. More info on this will follow here.
Let the best blog win!
